As I’ve already mentioned in Saturday’s A Stay At The Malvern Spa post. I wanted to feature one of the treatments, The Malvern Manicure, in an individual post. Obviously it’s perfect for a Manicure Monday. You all know that I’m always painting/doing my nails. I’m sure I’ve written over 50 Manicure Mondays by now. But I’m always neglecting my hands, nails and cuticles and just focusing on the actual colour or design.
Forgetting base coats with orange polishes, adding colour after colour and never using hand creams have put my nails in such a state. It embarrassed me to not wear polish of some sort to cover up the mess they were in. Anyway, when choosing my treatments* at The Malvern Spa I just had to go for The Malvern Manicure. In the hope that they could work miracles (spoiler: they can).
From the moment I sat down, I felt well and truly relaxed. The Malvern Manicure started with a therapeutic massage helping to nourish and re-hydrate my skin and nails. Then the therapist (I’ve completely forgotten her name I’m afraid) moved onto my awful cuticles. I was amazed by how much nail I actually had after she’d worked her wonders.
It was a Jessica Nails treatment so she used one of their base coats specifically for dry, damaged nails and then went in with three coats of the Lavender Pearl colour that I’d chosen. The Malvern Manicure was finished with a strengthening top coat and some quick dry drops to ensure I didn’t ruin my nails the second I got back into the pool. Although I did spend 30 minutes in the Relaxation Room afterwards so I could give my nails a little extra drying time (and have a well deserved nap).
I love the pearl colour and think it would be perfect as a wedding colour. I probably chose it for that reason subconsciously as I’ve had weddings on my mind non stop recently. The Malvern Manicure lasted at least 10 days before I removed it. It was still in a lovely condition with very few chips but as you all know, I get bored of nail colours quickly and I had so many new ones to try.
Have you had a Jessica Nails Manicure? Which treatment would you have if you were to visit The Malvern Spa?
Until next time,
