It’s been THREE YEARS since I last wrote a ‘What’s In My Bag’ post. Three whole years. Where does time go? Yet my bag is still full of similar/the same products. I’m still using the same Ted Baker Purse, but then I suppose that shows just how durable they are as it still looks new. This is an uncut version, I haven’t gone through my bag and removed things first, I have literally tipped my bag upside down and I’m going to tell you about everything in it. That’s what you want really isn’t it? The bag I’m using at the moment, and have been using since January 2016 is the Michael Kors Sutton, in the medium size and in Black. My fiance bought this for my Birthday last year and I’ve been using it ever since.
The first thing I’m going to quickly mention is my Ted Baker purse. This sadly is no longer available as I’ve had it over 4/5 years. It’s got a French Bulldog lining and I just love it. I may replace it this year. But then again, you’ll probably be reading my next What’s In My Bag post in another three years time with the same purse featured… Next is my portable phone/iPad/camera charger. My brother bought me this for my Birthday this year and I haven’t been without it since. It is the EasyAcc Power Bank and it will charge an iPhone up to 5 times! It’s actually on sale for £12.99 reduced from £59.99 so grab it while you can. It will charge three things at the same time too.
Then I’ve got two MAC Lipsticks, both in Mocha. This is the colour I wear daily but one of them in pretty much empty. No idea why I’m carrying them both around with me. The only other lip product I have with me is a little tin of Vaseline, doesn’t everyone? I don’t apply this as much as I should but it’s always there when I need it. I’ve also got a Carex Hand Gel in Bubble Gum (smells amazing) and a Cranberry Joy Hand Cream that should have been thrown away a while ago…
Poo Bags don’t need an explanation do they? I’ve got a dog so I’ve got Poo Bags coming out of my ears; I find them in every handbag, every coat and every jean back pocket yet I’ve never got one when I need one. How does that work? I’ve also got multiple receipts in the bottom of my bag. I’m usually good at filing/throwing them so these are only from the last couple of days. £37.50 at Asda on Curtains, Candles, Ice Lollies and a Jumper, £21 at B&M for Pillows, Paint and Chocolate and £18.70 at Redwood Farm, the place I get the giant cheesecakes.
Hiding in the back zip pocket is a pack of Pur Mojito Lime Mints, Paracetamol, a Sanitary Pad and a Leather Care Card that came with the bag and a Models Own Mirror. Just those things you need in case of emergencies (apart from the Leather Care Card obviously, no idea why that is still in there). I then have my Lulu Guinness Tangle Teezer that comes in handy almost every single day. I have very thick hair which tangles easily so I always turn to this. It’s the Compact version with a cover which is ideal for a handbag.
I still have so many things to write about, how have I possibly fit all of this into my handbag. And do I really need to be carrying it all around with me every. single. day? Probably not. But then again, I think I do use everything. I have a Charlie Body Spray in Touch, I replace my Body Sprays once a month or so, then my Inhaler which I haven’t used since 2014, a pack of Peppa Pig Tissues, a fold up shopping bag that I always forget I have, a notepad and pen and my car/house keys. Oh and a spare USB Charger.
I always carry a torch with me, but never remember I’ve got it in times of need. Funny story – we once got a Jeep stuck on a beach in a restricted zone (that we didn’t realise we’d gone in to) in Turkey, and the tide was coming in. It was pitch black and four of us were digging it out for about an hour, it wasn’t until we got back to the hotel that I realised I had a torch all along. No-one would talk to me for a couple of hours after that… Another thing I always carry are teabags as I drink Green Tea which people don’t usually have.
Last but not least are some magnets which I had made a while ago and 2 envelopes with my wages from the 4 hours a week I do at my local Post Office. I’ve been working there 10 years in April and can’t bring myself to leave, even though I’ve had a full time job for nearly 4 years now. It’s nice to go back and catch up with the staff and everyone in the village I grew up in.
That’s it, that’s everything in my handbag and pretty much all of it I carry around each and every day. Maybe I should have a think about the things I actually need, because it’s not normal to be able to write almost 1000 words on the contents of a handbag…
What handbag are you using on a day to day basis? I love my Michael Kors Sutton.
Until next time,

I’ve been thinking that about mine but it’s still in amazing condition. I did buy myself a little version similar to this one in November though!
